The Emiquon Restoration

Experience Emiquon is a cooperative effort between Dickson Mounds Museum, The Nature Conservancy, UIS Therkildsen Field Station and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This site was created to provide information on the restoration of the Emiquon Nature Preserve and the Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge, and as a place to post information on public events and opportunities relating to Emiquon.

What's Happening Right Now at Emiquon?

Be sure to stop by and see the exhibits at the Emiquon Preserve Visitor Use Area.  You might be treated to a spectacular event such as the December 2011 snow geese migration witnessed by Michael Jeffords and Sue Post.  Sue captured this amazing scene.
